Designing, setting-up and application of mobile process diagnostic systems in the TS cluster for the thermal coating process

This article deals with the findings which have been acquired during the utilisation and setting-up of mobile diagnostic systems in Subproject Q2 (process diagnostics) of the TS cluster. In this respect, the terms of reference of the project are to be explained in the first part. The results achieved during the setting-up of new diagnostic methods for measuring the flame/plasma parameters as well as for obtaining the characteristic variables of the particles are portrayed in the main part. These form the foundations needed for the process and simulation validation of the project partners within the TS cluster as well as for the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and for industry. The collaboration and links between the research establishment and the diagnostic research fields which will be worthwhile in the future are indicated in the final part of the article.
