The present short article serves to present selected details of a free jet stabilisation
process which has already been successfully integrated into a marketable HVOF
system. The described effects lead to a decisive increase in the efficiency of gasoperated
torches cooled using air. Systems of this type are operated in the same
performance spectrum as water-cooled variants.
