Today, the cold spray process is widely used in North America for the repair and restoration
of high value IDG (Integrated-Drive-Generator) housings used in commercial aircrafts.
One of the strongest drivers for the use of cold spray technology relates to the
ability of successful recovery of high value and/or irreplaceable aircraft components at a
fraction of their replacement cost.
