Investigations into the physical behaviour of the arcin innovative, cascaded DC plasma spraying systems

This article reports on the investigations into selected properties of a cascaded DC single-
cathode single-anode plasma generator. These include the location of the arc in the
plasma generator, the position of the anodic arc root, the extent to which the arc can be
influenced by an external magnet and the wear behaviour of the anode. Magnetic and
optical procedures are utilised as investigation methods.
