This article is intended to highlight the initial results obtained during the development of a plasma process with a pulsed current course and an adjusted spraying material supply in the wake of the IGF Project No. 18.963 N / DVS No. 02.099. In this respect, the general questions about pulse operation during plasma processes are explained first of all. Then, the implementation of the circuit components and the initial pulse experiments are portrayed in order to conclude with a summary and an outlook for future applications.
