Dr. Mingwen Bai

"Dr. Mingwen Bai joined the University of Nottingham as a research fellow in October 2016 after completing his PhD study (2011-2015) and post-doctoral research (2015-2016) with Prof. Ping Xiao in the University of Manchester. Dr. Bai’s research interests span a wide range with a focus on surface engineering for high temperature protection of combustion engines and gas turbines by collaborating closely with UK/EU industrial partners including Rolls-Royce, Alstom, E-on, etc. to overcome real challenges in surface degradation of steels and superalloys through oxidation and corrosion attack.
