He obtained his degree in Chemistry in 2002 and his PhD in Materials Science in 2006, developing his research career in thermal spray technologies within the Thermal Spray Centre of Universitat de Barcelona. Since 2006, he has been involved as postdoctoral researcher in the European Project NAMAMET (NMP3-CT-2004-001470), and has been involved in more than 15 international and national research projects. More than 50 research papers have been resulted from his research activities during these years, including publications in specialised Journals like Acta Materialia, Surface and Coatings Technology, Journal of Thermal Spray Technology, Materials Science & Engineering A, Intermetallics or Journal of the American Ceramic Society, having also more than 30 oral presentations in different international congresses.
