Corrosion behavior of stainless steel wire-arc sprayed coatings
The thermal spray coating is a suitable method to improve corrosion resistance of low calbon steels. In this work, the corrosion behavior of wire-arc-sprayed coatings on C35 steel have been undertaken. Characterization techniques including metallographic and corrosion resistance of diffrent coatings are
investigated. Electrochemical tests of arc sprayed stainless steel, nickel and composite coatings are performed in 3,5 % NaCl solution. The results comparaison exhibits a good corrosion resistance of the stainless steel coating. This article was delivered as a lecture at ITSC 2014 in Barcelona. In the Download
