Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Wilde

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Wilde acquired the diploma in Materials Science at the University of Erlangen ...Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Wilde acquired the diploma in Materials Science at the University of Erlangen in 1982. His PhD thesis at the University of Clausthal was dedicated to micro-composites for bonding wires. From 1988 Dr. Wilde worked at Daimler Research on packaging processes and design-for reliability. Since August 1999 Dr. Wilde is holding the Chair of Assembly and Packaging in Freiburg. His scientific focus lies on thermal-mechanical phenomena in sensors and power-electronic assemblies. The graduate teaching of Prof. Wilde comprises courses on Reliability Engineering, Assembly and Packaging as well as the Finite-Element Method. He is a member of IEEE and VDI.
