Dr. habil. Mathias Herrmann

Mathias Herrmann, born in 1957, studied Chemistry at the Lomonossov University in Moscow and obtaine...Mathias Herrmann, born in 1957, studied Chemistry at the Lomonossov University in Moscow and obtained his doctor's degree in 1984 on the subject of Binary and ternary oxides of titanium also in Moscow. In 1984, he began working in the field of structural ceramics at the Institute for Solid-State Physics and Materials Research in Dresden. As from 1992, he worked at Fraunhofer IKTS as the Group Leader for Nitride Ceramics (1992 2000), as the Head of Department for Non-Oxide Materials (2000 2006) and as the Head of Department for Sintering and Characterisation(since 2006). His habilitation took place in 2005.
