Dr.-Ing. Ingor Theodor Baumann
Dr.-Ing. Ingor Theodor Baumann, born in 1978, studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Dortmund with the advanced subjects of chip-producing and forming fabrication processes as well as quality management. After the completion of his dissertation on the subject of Micromechanical milling processing of NiTi shape-memory alloys in 2005, he began his professional career as a Scientific Employee and Doctoral Candidate at the Professorship for Materials Technology (LWT) at the Technical University of Dortmund in the field of coating technology. His research focuses on the coating of tool systems for hot and cold forming by means of thermal spraying processes. In his doctoral dissertation, Mr. Baumann is dealing with the processing of fine, submicronscale and nanoscale powders containing carbides using the HVOF process with the objective of the near-net-shape coating of complex surfaces. Since the start of 2010, Mr. Baumann has been a Senior Engineer at the above professorship and responsible, in particular, for the fields of finances and public relations.
