Leander Schramm studied Materials Sciences at the Technical University of Ilmenau from 2002 to 2008....Leander Schramm studied Materials Sciences at the Technical University of Ilmenau from 2002 to 2008. During the studies, he completed a six-month placement at Siemens Medical Solution, Rudolstadt, and an eight-month foreign placement at Autocraft Industries UK, Grantham, Great Britain. Moreover, Mr. Schramm worked at TU Ilmenau for two years as an Ancillary Scientist in the Plasma Laboratory and as a Placement Supervisor. He wrote his dissertation at Ford Forschungszentrum, Aachen, on the subject: PTWA coating of diesel engines subjected to operating stresses. After his studies, the graduate engineer accepted a doctoral candidate's position at Ford Forschungszentrum, Aachen, and is supervised by the Institute for Surface Technology of RWTH Aachen.
