Dr. David Cook
David Cook directs Flame-Spray Industries research and development with a focus on innovation, cost savings, and eco-responsibility. With more than 15 years of experience in the automotive and coating technology industries, Dr. Cook is responsible for managing Flame-Sprays technology decisions for future product development and specializes in development of automotive and heavy duty diesel coating equipment and applications. Prior to joining Flame-Spray Industries in 2005, Dr. Cook spent over ten years with Ford Motor Company in a variety of positions in both technical development and management. Dr. Cook joined Flame-Spray to further develop and implement PTWA (Plasma Transferred Wire Arc) cylinder bore coating technology worldwide. Since joining Flame-Spray, he has put this technology into production at Nissan, Caterpillar and other large OEMs. In 2009, Dr. Cook won the Inventor of the Year Award for his work on this technology.
