Since 2007, he is working at Fraunhofer Institute for Material- and Beam Technology (IWS) and since 2014 also at the Institute for Material Science of Technical University in Dresden as Research Associate in the area of thermal Spraying. He was expanding his scientific experience by research projects at National Research Council in Boucherville, QC, Canada (2009) and University West in Trollhättan, Sweden (2013). The main focus of his work is on the development and characterization of ceramic coatings from power or suspension feedstock, HVOF- and HVAF hardmetal coatings and particle diagnostics in thermal spraying.
