Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Kai Möhwald
Apl. Prof. Dr. Ing. habil. Kai Möhwald, born in 1961, studied Mechanical Engineering with the advanced subject of Fabrication Technology at the Dortmund University of Technology. In 1996, he obtained his Dr. Ing. title at the Professorship of Materials Technology (LWT). He was subsequently employed there as a Scientific Employee. Since 2001, he has been the Director of the Joining and Surface Technology Division (IW FORTIS) at the Institute of Materials Science at the Leibniz University of Hanover, based in Witten. In 2009, he obtained his habilitation at the Leibniz University of Hanover with venia legendi for the specialist field of Materials Technology. The Leibniz University of Hannover appointed him to an associate professor in March 2015.
